Jerry Smith for Martinsville School Board I am honored to have the opportunity to run for school board. Go Artesians! I grew up on a farm outside of Lebanon, Indiana. I am also a licensed CPA (inactive).

I want to ask for your support so that we may work together to educate our students, empower our teachers, and elevate our district. I learned to drive when I was 7 years old and started working on my Dad's farm when I was 9. If I wasn't in school and it wasn't raining, I worked 16-hour days on the farm. I currently work as a Special Counsel for the Office of Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita. I previously worked as a Deputy Prosecutor in the Morgan County Child Support Division. Before that I worked for myself as a bankruptcy attorney, primarily helping people save their homes from mortgage foreclosures. Before I was an attorney, I was a Financial Analyst and Internal Auditor for Thomson Consumer Electronics (maker of RCA televisions). Before that I was a cost accountant for DowBrands, the consumer product division of the Dow Chemical Company (maker of Ziploc bags, HandiWrap, Saran Wrap, and Spray 'n' Wash). Before I was an accountant, I worked as a teller and loan officer at Hughes Aircraft Employees Federal Credit Union. I also worked as a Security Officer at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
