Members of Kappa Delta Omega spent the previous week in Las Vegas, NV where they were immersed in Sisterhood, Service, and Scholarship with sisters attending the sorority’s 72nd Boule from all over the world.

The chapter’s Vice President served in the sorority’s second-time achievement of breaking a Guinness Book World record that included packing 15,000 hunger bags to feed those in need.

While visiting the area, the chapter wanted to support the sorority’s initiative of wearing pink, spending green and buying black. Plans were made to dine at Houseofdutchpotlv for authentic Caribbean cuisine that also included plant based dietary options.

The days of the week were full of events that celebrated progress and handled the business of the organization while preparing members to return to local communities, empowered to serve under the new leadership of the 32nd International President and CEO of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Charletta Wilson Jacks.

Congratulations to our Vice President, Alanna Wise, on this well deserved honor. We are grateful for her leadership, guidance, and unwavering commitment to our chapter. Whether behind the scenes or at the forefront, she consistently steps up to the plate, lending her time, talents, and expertise to ensure the success of our programs and initiatives.

During our June chapter meeting, the members of Kappa Delta Omega Chapter had the honor of recognizing our cherished Charter Members for their vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service.

We were delighted to present special gifts to our Charter Members in attendance, Sister Madie Rountree and Sister Lois Hairston, as a token of our appreciation for the foundation they helped build more than five decades ago.

We are especially proud to recognize Sister Madie Rountree for an extraordinary 65 years of service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to our sisterhood continue to inspire generations of women.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our Charter Members for paving the way and establishing a legacy that allows us to continue serving the Martinsville and Henry County community through sisterhood, scholarship, and service to all mankind.
