☀️ Snack time was just too beautiful to stay inside today!

​When the sun is shining this brightly, you take the fun outdoors. Our little ones traded the tables for the playground, soaking in the fresh breeze, giggling with friends, and enjoying snack time picnic-style. It is days like these that remind us to pause and thank God for the simple blessings all around us.

​We wrapped up our 4th week of Chapel this school year with a wonderful message from Pastor Griebenaw! He walked us through the parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders (Matthew 7:24–27), reminding our children that when we build our lives on Christ as our firm foundation, we can weather any storm. Praise be to God!

Our little friends were completely amazed by God’s creation on the playground today! We got to witness a mother Wolf Spider carrying TONS of her newly hatched babies right on her back! 🕷️✨
It gave us the perfect opportunity to pause and talk about how thoughtfully God designs every single creature.

Fun Facts About Wolf Spiders:
🕷️ World-Class Moms: Wolf spiders are the only spider species that carry their egg sacs attached to their spinnerets and then let hundreds of tiny spiderlings ride on their backs until they are big enough to venture out on their own.

🕷️ No Webs Needed: Unlike most spiders, they do not spin webs to catch food. Instead, they hunt on foot using incredible speed and agility—just like real wolves!

🕷️ Glow-in-the-Dark Eyes: They have eight eyes arranged in three rows, and behind their large central eyes is a reflective layer (tapetum lucidum). If you shine a flashlight into the grass at night, their eyes reflect back bright emerald green.

🕷️Garden Superheroes: They are gentle pest controllers, keeping garden pests and annoying bugs in check without harming people.

Moments like this make outdoor play so special—teaching curiosity instead of fear, and seeing the beauty in the tiny details of God's world! 🌱💛

We are so excited to share our final summer follow-up and celebrate how God moved through our community this season!

Through our Coin Bank Drive, our amazing group raised $349.45. We rounded up our donation to $350.00 (and happily covered the service fees!). Praise be to God for all the vital work done through Lutheran Hour Ministries to spread the Gospel all across the world.

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.” — 1 Chronicles 16:24

When we "travel" through our online mission trips, we do so much more than just introduce other cultures:

🌏We celebrate all the world that God created.

🇲🇳We learn more about different people and how God's love is vast enough for all of us.

💞We witness the Holy Spirit growing our faith as we hear about God's grace, mercy, and love for all His people.

📖We witness the reality of how sin has changed the world that God created, but that His Gospel is for all people (and let's be honest—it’s also pretty fun to try new snacks and games along the way!).

Thank you to everyone who gave, prayed, and participated in our journey this summer. We already can't wait to see which stamp our passports will get next summer during our next Online Mission Trip!

We are filled with so much gratitude as we celebrate the donation of 540 summer meal kits 📦 to Churches in Mission through our Loaves and Fishes Kids Kitchen! 🍳✨ A massive thank you goes out to everyone who donated throughout the season, including Thrivent for generously sponsoring Week 8. 💙

This summer, our young chefs did so much more than just cook—they learned new foundational skills, fostered an early love for food, explored exciting new flavors, and developed the beautiful discipleship skill of service 🤝.

As it says in 1 Peter 4:10, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." 🙏 We thank God for blessing us with the ability to serve our community and for the grace of learning something new, resting in the truth that God has made more with the little we provided. 🌾🕊️
