As an accomplished farrier and owner of a successful business, Joey White wants the opportunity to give people the same great experience he has had. We believe that college is not for everyone, so our goal is to provide knowledge about a beneficial trade and how hard work and dedication pays off. ECHS will teach lessons and responsibility that will open doors for our students in the future, even if they choose not to become full time farriers.

We are excited to announce that we now have a portable Draft Horseshoeing Stock here at East Coast Horseshoeing School! Thank you to the Virginia Horse Industry Board - VHIB for choosing ECHS as a grant recipient for this project!
We are looking forward to training our students on how to properly and safely use a horseshoeing stock, in addition to providing quality hoof care to more horses in the area.

Here at ECHS, we offer an 8-week farrier school program! We focus on hands-on learning and get our students under a large number of horses and a variety of breeds and disciplines. We also spend a lot of time in the forge making a variety of handmade shoes and in the classroom learning anatomy, pathologies, etc.
We are looking forward to our next group of students starting in June!
