Potomack is Racing for a Cure!

We're raising money for our Relay for Life team, and everyone at Potomack can join in to support the cause!

📍 Where: Cafeteria
📅 When: October 19 – November 20, before morning announcements
💵 Cost: $1.00 per foot

How it works: After you check in with your homeroom teacher, stop by the cafeteria to buy a foot for $1.00. Feet will be displayed by grade level, and the grade that buys the most feet wins!

Why: To raise money for the fight against cancer… AND…

The winning grade level will tape Dr. Arch to the wall! 🎉

Feel free to buy multiple feet. Every foot counts! 💜

Next week, our students will be exploring their futures and having fun with some special dress up days:

📅 Monday, 10/19: Teams Meeting Day. Dress like you’re in a Teams meeting: business on top and casual on the bottom.

📅 Tuesday, 10/20: Celebrate Military Careers. Wear camo.

📅 Wednesday, 10/21: College & Careers Take Us Places! Dress like a traveler.

📅 Thursday, 10/22: College Is No Sweat! Dress in sweatpants or sweatshirts.

📅 Friday, 10/23: Dress for Your Dream Career! Wear what you want to be when you grow up.

The One Where Potomack Rode in the Homecoming Parade ☕🛋️

Could we BE any more proud? Thank you, Spring Mills High School, for including us in the Homecoming Parade! Our Potomack crew rolled through on our Friends-themed float, complete with the orange couch, fountain and a Central Perk coffee stop. ☕

Our students waved, our staff cheered, and the candy was flying. We even heard a few "How you doin'?" shout-outs from the crowd. Nobody yelled "PIVOT!" at the float builders, so we call that a win.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated candy, built the float, and came out to cheer us on. You're the lobster to our Potomack family! 🦞💛

What a Fri-yay at Potomack! ❤️💙🦅

We were filled with Cardinal AND Eagle spirit today as we celebrated Spring Mills High School's Homecoming weekend! We loved welcoming the SMHS Marching Band, Dance Team, and Ren Team for High Five Friday! The energy, music, and school spirit made for such a fun start to our day! 🎶📣

We wrapped up the afternoon with our 1st Nine Weeks Rally, celebrating our students’ academic achievements and recognizing our Excellent Eagles for all their hard work! 🏆🦅

Our students got in on the fun with rally games like Boom, Clap, Grab and Pass the Ball, where every student had to work together to get the ball from the back of the line to the front. A little teamwork, a little competition, and A LOT of cheering made for a great afternoon! 🙌

And, of course, our teachers had to join in on the fun, too! 😂 Our staff battled it out in Human Hungry Hungry Hippos, proving that rallies aren’t just for the students!

Jackson is an all around athlete who loves playing Football and Basketball. Jackson was invited to Diamond Sports 2026 National Youth All Star Games in Frisco Tx and then in Myrtle Beach for their All American Game and their North vs South game in Montgomery Al in January 2027. Please help us cheer Jackson on as he shines on and off the field.

🌟 Spotlight 🌟

Josiah is an amazing soccer player and teammate, but he is also a loving big brother who cares for his brother with so much love. He is respectful at home and with his peers. Josiah raised money by selling soccer keychains so he could purchase soccer nets for his school. He has also received two school awards. Josiah’s kindness, generosity, and leadership make him a wonderful example to others!
