MHS Band Boosters
The Martinsburg High School Band Boosters Organization is a non-profit organization founded to support the efforts of the band programs at Martinsburg High School. The Boosters support the band with fund-raising, chaperones, hosting events, and other tasks as needed. The organization runs the concession stand at Cobourn Field. Monthly meetings are generally held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM in the band room.
ABOUT THE BAND
Martinsburg High School has a well-balanced and successful band program. The Marching Band won 1st place in Group IV at TOB Chapter Championships in 2010 and 2011. The Jazz Ensemble has received a “Superior” rating in every state and national festival it has attended since 1981, including the “State Honor Band” award in 2010. The Concert Band has also received consistent “Superior” ratings at state and national festivals. In addition to the Marching, Jazz, and Concert Ensembles, Martinsburg High School also has an award-winning Show Choir Band and a Steel Drum Ensemble.
