Today I interviewed for the best job in West Virginia!💙

I’m feeling content and ready for preliminary competition after my interview today. The judges are some of the sweetest, most down to earth people possible, and we had a great talk about my plans for the year.

Welcome to a World of Creativity!🎨

I wanted to wait until all eyes were on us here in West Virginia to introduce my activity book! This has been in the works for quite a while, and I’m thrilled to finally share it.

I created this book as a means to give any and all K-5 students in West Virginia a free and accessible way to participate in The Arts. Inside this book, you’ll find activities based around creative writing, drawing, music, art history, dance, and theatre.

As Miss West Virginia, these books would go with me to every school visit and community event. For the places I can’t reach, the book is available through my website:

As I arrive at my fifth year competing for Miss West Virginia, I can’t help but feel grateful for and proud of my journey to this stage.

I remember five years ago walking into a completely new experience feeling absolutely terrified. I remember having the best support system, great directors, every opportunity imaginable in the palm of my hand, but still feeling like something was missing. Every year since, I’ve felt uneasy about the week ahead and unsure of my path within the organization. This year feels different.

Through preparations, practices, and nonstop planning for the next year, I’m finally walking in to this week with full confidence in myself as an individual, a contestant, and a leader. My business plan is more than complete, and if given the opportunity, I’m more ready than ever to serve West Virginia with passion and pride.

I’m elated to show the judges and my community my heart this week.

Let’s do this, West Virginia!
