I just had to share!!

John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair.. The girl is coming along with her healing.
He is a real Star of the war, and the hero of peace.
This, my friends, is worth sharing. Go for it!! You'll never see things like this in the news. Please keep this going. Every person can make a difference in the life of someone even if it is one little girl.

West Side Christian Academy is closed for the 2018-2019 school year. Updates on how the ministry for the children will continue in New Jersey and in San Marcos, TX will be forth coming. Keep Elmer and Doris, and JeDisiah and families in your daily prayers.

The 2017-2018 school year is now more than half way into the first 9-week quarter and we have had good times--even went for a final summer swim the first week of school. Apple picking was great and the Apple desserts that parents shared during the week following were outstanding. Keep us in your prayers as the WSCA scholars thirst for, seek, and find knowledge and spiritual wisdom through their individual subject books and through the Word of God. The entire upper level class has memorized Philippians 2:1-11. Amazing!

2017-2018 school year for West Side Christian Academy scholars has begun. First chapel is in session. First prayer included the many families in Houston and major hurricane disaster stricken Texas and Louisiana towns (some families we know).

Our first month of "Dress Down 4 a $1 Day" fees will be earmarked to send to a Church that is directly helping Hurricane disaster families now. God be with them!

Apple desserts galore! Rev. Jackson's pie seemed to win the taste test, but look at that unique "pumpkin-ly" decorated apple cake by Hailey. All in all, we all ate too much and overly energized WSCA students finished out the day. Thanks for so much parent participation.
