Captain goes to {Kid} College ✏️📚! The Office of University Outreach wrapped up another successful year of Kid College with over 150 K-5 students in attendance.

Being 5,000 miles away from campus didn't stop this Skyhawk from receiving her degree 🎓.
Jada Curlin has spent the last few months in Siena, Italy, as part of a study-abroad course. Since she had to miss the in-person commencement ceremony, Chancellor Freeman and other university officials held a special virtual ceremony for her via Zoom.

Because she was studying in Italy, UT Martin graduate Jada Curlin had a special commencement arrangement.

Skyhawk spirit runs deep for Austin Dunagan. This fourth-generation UT Martin graduate received his business administration degree on May 2, and this fall he is headed to the UT Health Science Center to pursue his doctor of dentistry degree.

Dr. Clinton Smith, professor of special education, will receive the 2026 Higher Educator of the Year award from the National Education Association later this summer.
This award honors a higher education professional who goes above and beyond through student-centered leadership, strong advocacy efforts, and meaningful community involvement.
