That’s a wrap on Skyhawk Discovery Camp!
Day 4- Photo Dump 1
Today, students got to make an egg drop experiment! The students were given a cup, straws, tape, and string. They had to figure out what to build to keep their egg from breaking. Each student had their own unique design. When building was over, they got to go on top of the Tower and drop them from 199 feet in the air!!
The first class had only one egg that didn’t crack, and the second class had 3!

Day 4- Photo Dump 2
Today, students also finished their wing art project. They spent the day cutting out the feathers they painted on Tuesday. They arranged them and glued them onto the board. Their teamwork has paid off, as they made such a lovely piece of artwork! This piece is a patriotic tribute to America’s 250th anniversary.
In their free time, students played on the playground, played in the water exhibit, and got to go down the famous “man slide!”
Hope you and your students have a fantastic summer. 🤩

Skyhawk Discovery Camp Day 3!
Today, students learned to code and practiced their meteorology skills!
In the first class, kids learned to create their own meteorology graphics, themed after UT Martin and West Tennessee. They were able to get in front of the green screen and present their own weather forecast! They also learned to survey current weather conditions with different weather instruments.
The second class used a computer program called Scratch to create their own computer game. They made a space shooter game, where they each got to draw their own background, spaceship, and alien. Then, they had to add the code to make it all move!
What a fun day!🤩
