3D Printing Camp Day 1!

Trying out trends with a Trojan twist!

Always a fun time with Engineering I students! This year’s bridge that held the most weight was designed by Will Smith and Porter Schultz! The best bridge design and sketch was by Grady Forsythe!

Engineering IV students visited UTM to work with, Engineering Professor Dr. Ashley Owens, on their recent project. Dr. Owens gave the group great insight and feedback on what changes they can make to enhance their dodgeball launcher project. Students also got to tour the Latimer-Smith Engineering and Science Building where they soon hope to be studying!

Last week students reviewed simple machines and how to calculate the mechanical advantage of machines. In doing so, students created machines to move a load (ping pong ball) from one location to another.

Congrats to these Engineering students! They passed their CSWA-AM exam! They are all now Additive Manufacturing certified!
