📢 Attention incoming freshmen!: 📢

🔷 If you are planning to register with the UT Martin Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) to receive classroom and/or housing accommodations, you are eligible to join the UTM Launch Program!

🔶 This is a free program taking place August 19-21 on the UT Martin main campus. ARC staff and student workers coordinate all aspects of Launch, which includes a luncheon with your invited guests, early move-in, an extended tour of all campus buildings ahead of the first day of classes, a coffee and breakfast event with our staff, Q&A session, and fun activity with our student workers allowing students chances to connect with other Skyhawks. All events are optional and take place in a small group setting.

🙌🏼 Our first annual Launch Program was a big success! 🚀

This week, Launch Program students participated in custom event programming created by ARC staff including:

✅ early move-in to familiarize themselves with campus life;
✅ a guided tour of campus featuring all academic buildings plus important student resources;
✅ a campus department fair catered to accessibility-specific needs;
✅ a Tex-Mex banquet for students and their loved ones;
✅ words of wisdom from Vice Chancellor Dr. McCloud;
✅ a coffee social where students could ask upperclassmen questions about everything UTM;
✅ an ARC open house to learn about their accommodations.

Special thanks to:
🟠 Dean Nordberg for allowing us to use such a beautiful space for our students,
🔵 Vice Chancellor McCloud for delivering a wonderful keynote address.
