East Union Middle School was recognized as a National Beta School of Distinction for the 2025-2026 school year! This distinction also means that we have increased our Beta participants past the minimum requirement!

The EUMS Beta Club has tripled its membership over the last two years, and we would like to continue to increase this prestigious organization!

How can we do that?

We need students and families to continue to emphasize exemplary student academic achievement!

Parents and guardians, as we begin to ramp-up for the school year, please pack your patience when it comes to transportation!

The beginning of the school year always presents growing pains with transportation. Know that our goal is to pick up and drop off students in a timely manner and the beginning of the school year presents logistical challenges with routes that are resolved as quickly as possible.

East Union Middle School is currently looking to add three parents to the East Union Middle School Site-Based Management Team. The EUMS SBMT is the team made up of community stakeholders, parents, EUMS staff, an EUMS AP, and the principal.

This team meets to discuss goals aligned with the EUMS School Improvement Plan and progress towards those goals throughout the school year.

To keep our parent team strong, we are looking for rising 6th-grade parents, but we will welcome parents from other grade levels as well.

Eagle Nation, please help us welcome Mrs. Mary Poats to the Eagle family as our new 7th-Grade School Counselor!

Mrs. Poats is a Charlotte, NC native. She is a graduate of Arborbrook Christian Academy (2020) and the University of South Carolina. She is also currently a student at Liberty University.

Mrs. Poats loves walking and hiking, and spending time with family. Before becoming a school counselor, she taught both 4th and 5th grades in South Carolina.

Forest Hills offers 12 AP courses. AP courses provides students with the opportunities to earn college credit while in high school and makes your student more competitive for college admission and college scholarships!

As you matriculate from East Union to Forest Hills High School, know that there are unlimited possibilities for your students right in your backyard!

Our phenomenal custodial staff have our floors in pristine shape as we turn the calendar to August this weekend! We want to thank them for their hard work, preparing classrooms and hallways for our final open house and opening of the school year on our current campus!
