HITS VI ☀️🌄💦

While the mid week washout wasn’t exactly the most fun, our team had an absolutely stellar week! Some highlights include:

Sydney Watson & Jempy van het Mozenhof were 2nd in the Hamel Medal out of a massive field of 25 riders! They were also 4th in the USHJA Hunt Seat Medal. Thank you Redfield Farm for Jempy.

Frans Weterrings & SLS Make My Day were 4th, 5th, and 6th in the high children’s jumpers.

Giuliana Junghans & Evermore were 2nd in the Hamel Medal during Equitation Tuesday, and wrapped up their qualification for USHJA Jumping Seat Medal Finals on Tuesday as well! Over the weekend this pair was extremely consistent earning spits in the flat in both the Jumping Seat and Hamel.

Sarah York & Qrumpet had an extremely consistent weekend with great ribbons over fences and in the hack in the 18-35 Adult Hunters.

Jesse Fortier and Qrumpet had a stunning round in the USHJA National Derby, with a heartbreaking rail at the last jump!

Ryleigh Orton and SLS Beau Soleil won the THIS medal with a massive score of 88! This pair also received a ribbon in Beau’s first National Derby, 11th out of nearly 50 competitors! Thank you Stone Lane Stables for Beau and Clint!

Sydney Watson and Kiss Me I’m Irish were Champion in the Limit Equitation, winning three of the four classes!

Giuliana Junghans & Firefly 41 had an awesome week teaching Giuliana the ropes in the jumper ring! This pair had some amazing rounds in the low children’s.

Grace Shipman and Archie Z were Champion in the Adult Equitation and 2nd in the USET!

Grace Shipman and Di Dali were fast and clear in the Medium AO Classic on Sunday! Thank you Findlay’s Ridge for your continued support in our program, and allowing Grace to spend her summer shows with us!

🥈 Sydney Watson paired up with Jempy van het Mozenhof during HITS VI, and really brought her A game! Great round over fences and solid flatwork for the red ribbon! Thank you to our friends at Redfield Farm for Jempy.🔥

HITS Hudson Valley • Week V ☀️🌄🕶️

We saw it all! Rain, heat, dust, crazy long days, highs and lows. Our horses and riders really made the best of it!

Qrumpet • 1st, 6th, and 6th in a MASSIVE group of FIFTY 18-35 Adult Hunters with Sarah York. Earlier in the week, Qrumpet was also 8th in a huge 3’ USHJA class of almost 100 horses with Jesse Fortier, and Reserve Champion in the Modified Adults with Sarah York.

SLS Beau Soleil • Beau and Ryleigh Orton were victorious in The League Children’s Medal, 2nd in the THIS, 5th in the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal, and had amazing round in the Intermediate Equitation.

Evermore • Kelce and Giuliana claimed the Championship in the Intermediate Equitation.

SLS Make My Day • Clint and Frans were amazingly consistent this week, earning 7th and 8th in a massive field of 1m junior/amateurs and had one unlucky rail in the 1.05m Classic.

Jamiro • Mucho and Tamsin had an amazing week in the .90m Amateur Jumpers, earning 4th and 6th.

Copacabana • Riko and Liv were 2nd in both the NHS Adult Medal and The League Adult Medal, and had fantastic results in the 18-35 Adult Equitation.

Kiss Me I’m Irish • Sydney and Eddie made their first trip to Saugerties with our team and had really solid rounds in the USHJA Jumping Seat and Hamel.

Calamanzo • 5th in the National Amateur Hunter Derby with Grace, and consistent scores in the 80’s all week in the Younger 3’3” AO’s.

Di Dali • 4th in the Medium Jr/Am jumpers with Grace.

We 💗 WIB!

As always, our time in Saratoga for the Women In Business Spectacular did not disappoint! We love putting this show on our schedule.

✨ SLS Beau Soleil and Rhyleigh Orton claimed the championship in the Older Children’s Hunters, were 2nd in the Children’s Hunter Classic, and won the USHJA 3’3” Hunt Seat Medal.

✨ Calamanzo and Grace Shipman were reserve champions in the Younger 3’3” AO’s.

✨ Qrumpet and Sarah York had beautiful rounds with great ribbons in the Younger Adult Hunters.

✨ Cobble Creek and Abby Dubrawski jumped clear in the 1m and Take 2 TB classes…and stepped back into the 1.10m ring with a gorgeous round.

✨ Di Dali and Grace Shipman jumped beautifully in the Welcome Stake and Medium AO Classic.

✨ Piper Tierney and Ugo 4 joined us for a fun week in the 2’6”/2’9” equitation and hunters. Thank you Highlander Farm for trusting us with this lovely pair this week!

🏔️🌄☀️🌲 Lake Placid Week I!

💫 Tess Lenihan and Lorenzo were 2nd, 4th, and 6th in the 18-35 Adult Hunters!

💫 Giuliana Junghans and Evermore had an amazing week in the junior hunters, scoring an 86! They also were 4th in the 14&U THIS Medal and 7th in the Junior/Amateur National Derby!

💫 Sarah York and Qrumpet had great rounds in the 18-35 Adult Hunters!

💫 Liv Gannett and Copacabana held their own in the Adult Equitation and Medals against some stiff competition!

💫 Frans Wetterings and SLS Make My Day jumped clear all week in the 1m Junior Jumpers, with one unlucky rail in the classic!

🐎 Saratoga Classic I 🐎

What an amazing time last week in Saratoga! Always one of our most cherished stops. A very fun week for our team. To summarize:

•we were reminded why it’s important to always listen to the horse

•we watched young riders continue to chip away at accomplishing their goals

•we saw green horses and new partnerships hit their stride

•and we celebrated old friendships (both equine and human)

Thankful for such a fantastic week, restful week at home, and so looking forward to two weeks in the Mountains with this group… Lake Placid 🔜!
