Thank you to all the student volunteers that made the first GSA & ACE Clothing Giveaway a great success!! We collected a huge amount of donations from students and community members that were then given away pop-up-thrift-shop-style. The event provided free clothing to community members and helped break the cycle of fast-fashion waste! It also provided a source of clothes to align with one's identity (gender or otherwise), which is a way to improve mental health. I can't thank everyone who participated in this project enough: from student volunteers, to MHS staff, to everyone who donated clothing, to everyone that came out and took home some clothing! We believe this giveaway brought some good into our community and we hope to see you again in the future with projects like it!

We truely appreciate all the support we've received in our clothing giveaway project. So many people have donated clothing and we have a hard-working team of students that sorted through all those donations to prepare for tomorrow. We're so excited for the event tomorrow and Saturday and hope you'll stop by!

Hey MHS and MHS! Everyone has a few pieces of clothing they don't ever wear. Why not donate it to our clothing giveaway? This will reduce your clutter and give the clothing a chance to be used! Drop-off boxes are in the MHS commons. MMS: stay tuned to the announcements for where your box is located.

Mark your calendars! GSA is partnering with ACE to host a Pop-Up Clothing Giveaway on March 15th from 4-8 pm and 16th from 12-5 pm!
Clothing is a need for everyone and we will be giving away secondhand clothes for free! Using secondhand is a sustainable way to get a new outfit without supporting the fast fashion industry which creates massive amounts of waste and uses a huge amount of water. GSA is also putting an emphasis on the importance of having gender-affirming clothing because of the positive impact on mental health.
We encourage you to do some spring cleaning and find clothing that you no longer want and donate to our cause! If you are a MHS or MMS student, there will be donation bins at school soon, otherwise we will also happily accept same-day donations. Monetary donations are also appreciated and will be used to cover costs as well as support future events like this!
