πŸŽ…πŸ›· Christmas Fun in Physical Education πŸ›·πŸŽ…

Before Christmas break, our 3rd–6th and 8th grade students enjoyed a festive Santa’s Sleigh Ride game in Physical Education class. One or two students played the role of the reindeer, pulling Santa and an elf as they raced to collect the β€œpresents.”

A fun and active way to celebrate the season together. πŸ’™πŸ€πŸŽ„

πŸ’œ Advent Service in Action at St. John the Baptist Primary School πŸ’œ

As part of an Advent service project, students and families at St. John the Baptist Primary School collected much-needed items for the Pregnancy Resource Center. This generous outpouring of support is a beautiful example of living out our call to love and serve others.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this service project such a success! πŸ’™πŸ€

❀️ Meal Train Support for the Berres Family ❀️

A member of our CCS family, Katrina Egle, has organized a meal train to support the Berres family, who recently lost everything in a house fire. Providing meals is one small way we can help ease their burden during this difficult time. Please keep them in your prayers and consider blessing them with a meal.

Meal preferences:
The family has no allergies. The kids prefer meals that are not spicy and without chunks of onions, tomatoes, peppers, or mushrooms.

Meal drop-off details:
β€’ Meals can be dropped off at 11687 Robin Road by the front door (in a cooler, if one is set out).
β€’ Questions for the family? Contact Kristin at 715-305-1940.
β€’ You may also drop meals off with Kat Egle, who will deliver for you. Text 715-828-6548 to coordinate.

πŸ’™ High School Student Council in Action πŸ’™

Our high school Student Council met during their lunch period today. As they ate lunch together, they discussed plans for their most recent school-improvement project, which will support the purchase of new folding chairs and storage racks for the varsity gym, and to plan teacher/staff appreciation for Catholic Schools Week.

Students who serve on Student Council have the opportunity to develop leadership skills while organizing events and initiatives that benefit both our school and the wider community. Guided by our Catholic mission, Student Council members strive to:
β€’ Work collaboratively with faculty and administration
β€’ Act in a Christian manner and help build faith within the school
β€’ Develop leadership, responsibility, and initiative
β€’ Provide a voice for students
β€’ Plan and assist with school events such as Homecoming, Alpine Holiday, and Catholic Schools Week
β€’ Raise funds to improve school facilities and support community causes

πŸ“ Hands-On Geometry Learning

Our high school students built polyhedrons in Mrs. Fleischmann's geometry class using pretzel sticks, mini marshmallows, and magnetic materials. This creative, hands-on activity helped students explore shapes and structures in a fun and engaging way.

Our Philosophy

The Columbus Catholic Schools are committed to the education, development, and spiritual formation of our students. Within the context of the Gospels and the teachings of the Catholic Church, we believe we are called to:

  • Faithfully teach Catholic doctrine and nurture in our students an abiding love of the Catholic faith through participation in religious instruction, prayer, devotions, and the Sacraments, particularly the celebration of the Liturgy, preparing each to take their place as the Church leaders of tomorrow.

  • Carry out the educational ministry of the Catholic Church by providing a quality, affordable, Catholic education to all those children entrusted to our care, regardless of their race, creed, or socio-economic status.

  • Fulfill the academic needs of each individual student through a curriculum, and through teaching methods, that encourage and enable each student to reach his or her maximum potential in all areas, placing an emphasis on nurturing a sense of responsibility to develop God-given gifts to their fullest.
