🚛 CDL training—now on weekends. 📅

Ready to earn your Class A Commercial Driver’s License, but weekday training doesn’t fit your schedule? Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions is offering a weekend-only CDL class beginning Nov. 14.

The course meets Saturdays and Sundays and combines online theory training with behind-the-wheel range training and on-road driving experience. Training meets Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Entry-Level Driver Training requirements.

This class uses a manual transmission truck, so students who successfully complete their skills test in the manual truck can operate both manual and automatic transmission commercial vehicles, provided all other licensing requirements are met.

A valid Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) and other enrollment requirements apply.

There’s still time to get into our next Motorcycle Rider Education course!
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider course is designed for new riders, combining online learning, classroom instruction and 10 hours of hands-on motorcycle training. You’ll build the skills you need to ride safely and confidently, including motorcycle control, rider perception and risk management.

The two-day course takes place at Marshalltown Community College and runs 8 AM–5 PM Saturday and Sunday. Tuition is $199.
