We are so excited to see our students and families! 💙❤️

📚 Join us on Wednesday, August 19 for Back to School Night as students and families meet teachers, explore classrooms, and get ready for a great year ahead.

The times for each location are as follows:

➡️ Elementary Schools (PK-4): 4:00-5:30pm
➡️ Lenihan Intermediate (5th-6th grade): 4:30-6:00pm
➡️ Miller Middle School, Marshalltown High School, Marshalltown Virtual Academy, and Marshalltown Learning Academy/Therapeutic Classroom: 5:00-6:30pm

The first day of school for the 2026-27 school year is Monday, August 24.

We cannot wait to see everyone back in our buildings!

We kicked off the last day of school with bubbles, music, and light-up sticks as we welcomed our Anson students this morning! Students are now enjoying Field Day, making memories with their classmates, and celebrating a fantastic school year.
Wishing our entire Anson family a fun, safe, and memorable summer. Happy Last Day of School! 🎉☀️📚

🦺 Our 3rd graders learned about engineering and had to work together with a partner to create a structure that can withstand a hurricane level, wind, rain and flood! 💙❤️

Last week our 4th grade students were able to visit Lenihan to get a taste of what 6th grade will be like! Today, our PK-3 students also got a chance to “step up.” Although they don’t know who their teacher will be yet, they got a sneak peek at what next year has in store and had the opportunity to explore another part of the building, meet teachers, and get excited for the year ahead! 📚

Mayor Ladehoff visited our 3rd grade classrooms this week to discuss students’ ideas for how to continue improving Marshalltown! Our students shared thoughtful suggestions, asked great questions, and enjoyed learning about our community leader! Thank you, Mayor Ladehoff, for taking the time to inspire our students! Go Bobcats! ❤️💙

Last week, our 4th grade students had the exciting opportunity to experience the Marshalltown High School Chamber Orchestra! 🎻

Not only was this an enjoyable performance, but it also gave our students a glimpse of what they can look forward to if they continue their musical journey at Lenihan. Opportunities like this help spark passion and show what’s possible in the years ahead!

A big thank you to the talented orchestra members for sharing their time and music with us! 👏
