Additions is a private independently owned and operated supplemental educational program. Services and prices vary depending on the child and their specific needs. We offer everything from tutoring to in-home skill instruction. The owner and current education advocate has a Master's degree in special education and a vast background working with students with autism and severe disabilities to stude

nts who just need a little help in one academic area. The programs are individually designed, have very low student to teacher ratios and utilize current research-based procedures to help students reach their goals and build self-esteem in a positive environment. I have an Illinois teaching certification and am working on Michigan teaching certification.

A big shout out to all the kids who didn’t win an award, make honor roll, and barely made it through the school year. A big hug to the moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers, and foster parents that stuck by them as they maneuvered the school year.

To the kids that didn’t get invited to the prom, didn’t get a scholarship to college, and perhaps have to go straight to work out of high school....you are still worthy of a pat on the back and a Facebook post with people talking about how amazing you are.

Some kids have to work twice as hard as other students just to get a C. Their achievements deserve recognition.

Don’t forget those kids.

Kindness, creativity, and generosity....those attributes sadly don’t get the accolades they deserve.

All services are provided by a specialist. The teacher had an AA in child development, a B.S. in Special Education, an M.S. in Special Education, and an advanced certificate as a Curriculum Adaptation Specialist, advanced certificate as a Behavior Intervention Specialist, and an advanced certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has also worked in both public and private school settings and a clinical setting providing services to a range of students. The teacher currently holds a teaching certificate in Illinois and Michigan. She is working on getting her BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). Call today to find out more!
