Get ready to dig deep and discover the dazzling secrets of the earth in this hands-on geology workshop! We'll take a tour of the Rock Hounds Shop in Casey where crystals sparkle, fossils fascinate, and rocks rule.

$20 per member - due the night of the workshop.

This workshop is open to members and non-members ages 8-18.

If you own a business, serve on a board, are a nonprofit director, or hold a community leadership role, we invite and encourage you to participate in our upcoming Clark, Crawford, and Edgar County Poverty Simulation!

This interactive experience provides a unique opportunity to better understand the challenges faced by many individuals and families in our county. By gaining insight into the realities of poverty, participants can identify ways to strengthen services, build partnerships, and work together to create a more supportive community for all.

Save the date! 🍀 National 4-H Week is Oct. 4-10, and we’re getting ready to celebrate all things Illinois 4-H!

Throughout the week, we’ll celebrate the young people, volunteers, families, educators, and communities that make 4-H possible and help youth build the skills they need to be for whatever comes next.

What happens behind the scenes in YOUR community?

This November, Afterschool With 4-H is heading out into the community to find out!

Instead of just talking about how a community works, we're going to see it in action with three special behind-the-scenes adventures:

🏛️ November 5 | Justice in Action
Step inside the courthouse and discover how our local justice system works.

📬 November 12 | Delivering Connections
Go behind the scenes at the post office and learn how people, packages, and communities stay connected.

🚒 November 19 | Community Heroes
Visit the fire station, meet local firefighters, and learn more about the important role they play in keeping our community safe.

Along the way, kids will meet the people who serve our community, ask questions, explore places they may have never seen up close, and discover that being part of a community means more than simply living there.

Youth ages 5–18 are invited to join the fun and explore new opportunities through 4-H.

Join us on October 16 for the 2nd Annual Livestock Judging Contest! Youth ages 8-18, including 4-H and FFA members, are invited to showcase their judging abilities with cattle, swine, sheep, and goats.

October 16 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Martinsville Fairgrounds
$20 per school or coach
Open to youth ages 8-18

Junior Division & Senior Division
Max of 4 per team, top 3 scores count
Stenopads are allowed

We are using Scantrons this year, so please bring clipboards and pencils.

Lunch will not be available at the event, so please plan accordingly.
