Congrats to one of our graduated seniors, Jasiah Perkins on earning this scholarship! 🤘

Tatum Music Company has served East Texas school band programs for over 75 years, meeting the needs of both student musicians and area music educators. Several former outstanding band directors have owned Tatum Music Company throughout its history. The current owner, Doice Grant, established The Tatum Music Scholarship to benefit future instrumental music educators.

This year's recipient is Jasiah Perkins.

Jasiah recently graduated from Marshall High School, where he was in the school’s marching band for 4 years, serving as marching bass drum captain, in the symphonic band and wind ensemble. He participated in all-region band, and was active in the Future Farmers of America chapter, serving as a chapter officer. He also participated on the radio broadcasting team and swine show team. Jasiah plans to study Music Education at Stephen F Austin State University and become a band (percussion) director.

HUGE shoutout to one of our Drum Majors, Devin Calvello, on being invited to the prestigious Texas Summer Flute Symposium! 🤘🎶 He will work with WORLD CLASS musicians and he is just one of three high school musicians in the symposium as the rest of the performers are collegiate or professional level. ✈️🇺🇸 The first group of Marshall AFJROTC cadets is officially on the road to a week of Advanced Cadet Leadership Camp at Grambling University!

These outstanding cadets will spend the week developing their leadership skills, building confidence, strengthening teamwork, and preparing to become the next generation of leaders within our Corps and community.

Tomorrow, our Basic Camp cadets will join them and begin their own leadership journey. We are excited to see all they will accomplish and the lessons they will bring back to TX-20024!

Please keep our cadets, instructors, and staff in your thoughts as they embark on this incredible opportunity.
