East Texas Handgun Licensing

As of today, Harrison County, including the City of Marshall, will be under a Burn Ban. Harrison County's initial Burn Ban order will be an emergency 7 day Burn Ban, however that WILL BE EXTENDED to a 90 day Burn Ban during next Thursday Commissioner’s Court hearing. That ban will be in effect until further notice.

Good morning, Texas. Tuesday is here, and the Texas sun has once again clocked in before most of us and apparently plans on working overtime.

North Texas could see a few afternoon thunderstorms, East Texas is bringing enough humidity to make stepping outside feel like opening the dishwasher mid-cycle, Central Texas gets another sunny and hot day, South Texas continues treating every shade tree like reserved parking, and West Texas is keeping things hot, dry, and wide open.

By afternoon, much of the state will be well into the 90s. Dogs will refuse to leave the porch, Texans will be starting their trucks five minutes before getting in, and somebody will open the front door, feel the heat, and decide whatever they needed wasn’t that important after all.

By evening, a few lucky spots may catch a passing shower. For everybody else, find some shade, grab something cold, and remember: we’re another day closer to that first glorious morning when we can complain about it being too cold. 🤠☀️🌡️

North Texas could see a few afternoon thunderstorms, East Texas is keeping the humidity turned all the way up, Central Texas gets plenty of sunshine, South Texas continues its daily search for anything resembling shade, and West Texas is keeping things hot, dry, and bright.

By afternoon, much of the state will be well into the 90s. Steering wheels will require cautious handling, seat belts will become branding irons, and somebody will start their truck from inside the house just to give the A/C a fighting chance.

By evening, a few lucky Texans may catch a passing shower. Everyone else can wait for the sun to disappear before tackling anything outdoors. It’s Monday. Surviving the parking lot is enough productivity for one day. 🤠☀️🌡️

Mornin, Texas! Welcome to August. The calendar changed overnight, but the forecast looked at it, laughed, and kept doing exactly what it was doing in July.

North Texas could see a few afternoon thunderstorms, East Texas is still keeping the humidity thick enough to make your glasses fog up before breakfast, Central Texas gets another full day of sunshine, South Texas continues reminding everyone that shade is prime real estate, and West Texas is serving another helping of sunshine with all the moisture of a tortilla chip.

By afternoon, temperatures will climb well into the 90s across much of the state. Somebody will confidently say, “Maybe August will be different,” while standing next to an A/C vent set on maximum. Every gas station cooler will become a social gathering spot, and every Texan will instinctively park under the smallest patch of shade, even if it only covers half the windshield.

By evening, a few lucky folks may catch a passing shower while the rest of us enjoy that magical five-minute breeze that convinces us summer is finally breaking… right before the air turns into soup again. Happy August, Texas. We’ve got this. 🤠☀️⛈️🌡️
