What a beautiful evening celebrating the opening of The Rupert Collection! We are grateful to Kimberly Rupert for sharing the origin of her parents’ collection of Chinese artwork and to Starr Commonwealth’s Brueckner Museum for loaning a part of the collection to us. We also want to give a special thank you to Elizabeth Carey, President and CEO of Starr Commonwealth for partnering with Eastend and giving home to such beautiful works of art.

We appreciate those who joined us and helped to make the evening such a success!

Eastend is honored to be the selected business on tour this year. We can’t wait to welcome you, share our space, and be part of this special community event. We’ll see you on the tour!

The building’s historic integrity was largely preserved in the mid-20th century thanks to the efforts of preservationist Harold C. Brooks. Today, it is home to the Eastend Arts Center, a non-profit organization that has transformed the space into a vibrant arts center. While the first floor showcases works from over 60 artists, the upper levels are dedicated to art education and studio residency. The organization continues to focus on restoration projects that honor the building’s 1870s grandeur while establishing it as a permanent cultural cornerstone for fine arts in Southwest Michigan.

Tour all three floors of this incredible historic building during the Historic Home Tour!
