Here are a few answers to our most frequently asked questions:

CLASSES:
We offer classes on both Indoor and Outdoor Life Skill, Creationism Science, Christian World View History and a High School Project Class where teens work together on schoolhouse projects and get a little extra time with their peers.

AGES:
Our weekly classes are for kiddos from age 5 (by the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year) through 12th grade. Students ages 12-18 usually come on Tuesday and students ages 5-11 come on Thursdays but we make exceptions for sibling groups who would like to come together. We also offer an exclusive high school class for the teens to give them a little extra time together.

CLASS STRUCTURE:
The classes blocks are 2 hours long with a ten minute pick up window at the end. We have a break half way through the block that allows the kids an opportunity to have a snack and to get some downtime together. The classes are designed to be drop off classes since our space is limited but parents are welcome to stay on site in their cars or in our picnic area. If you’re driving in from out of town we have such great local recommendations we can suggest to you for things to do in Marshall. The fall semester runs August-December with a break for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The spring semester runs January-May. We offer Summer Day Camp June and July.

COSTS:
The class blocks are $60 per month. The high school project class is $20 per month. Most students take two blocks each staying for 4 hours. There is a one time $20 enrollment fee that won’t need to be paid again as long as the students are continuously enrolled throughout the semester. If the monthly payments are late the $20 fee is applied again for up to one week late and after it is two weeks late we will open up the spot to the next waitlisted student in line.

AVAILABILITY:
We tend to carry a waitlistst for many classes throughout the year. At the end of Spring Semester we give our currently enrolled students a week of priority registration time for the summer and fall and then we open up those classes to our waitlist and then to the public. You can reach out year round to add your students names to the waitlist. To do so just send us a DM with your students name, age, desired class times and your contact information.

SEASONAL:
We offer a kid’s farmers market in the spring that is exclusively for our enrolled students where we spend a month teaching entrepreneurial skills before the market and then do market analysis afterwards. We also offer a teen winter formal in the fall which is a fund rasier for our program and it is open to all teen (13+) homeschool students in the community as well as a kids family winter formal that’s open to students and families of all ages. The stiffness attend the Civil War reenactment in Jefferson each year and participate in a number of field trips around East Texas. We also run a Farm-Stay Guest House listed on AirBnB and other platforms where your family can book an immersive homesteading experience on our little farm and tour our Schoolhouse.

CONNECT:
If you have any other questions that weren’t covered or would like information on which classes still have availability please reach out over email or direct message on our social media accounts.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY:
I am a mother of seven and have been homeschooling for 15+ years. My husband Jeremy and I have been in ministry for 20+ years. We run The Homeschool Reformation, my teen daughter and I also run The Farm Trail Project to promote agrotourism and buying local farm fresh produce. I write and speak throughout the year and host a number of classes for adults and speak at conferences, events and do podcasts interviews. Through The Homeschool Reformation we offer one-on-one consultations for those looking for more support in planning their homeschool year, those who want to set up similar programs in their community and we help families to bring agro-tourism onto their own homesteads.
