🎒 Welcome Back to School! 🎉

We are so excited to welcome our students back for another fantastic school year!

Here are a few quick reminders as we get started:

🚶 Walker Entry & Supervision: Our walker doors open at 8:10 AM, which is when morning supervision officially begins. Students are welcome to arrive early with a parent or guardian to wait, but school entry and supervised drop-off will not begin until 8:10 AM.

🚌 Bus Routes: Safety is our top priority! As our drivers learn new neighborhood routes, morning and afternoon timing may fluctuate slightly at first. Thank you in advance for your extra patience as we keep our students safe.

For those planning to attend athletic events on the Ottawa Township High School (OTHS) campus, please observe the following:

Due to safety and behavioral concerns, all elementary, middle school, and junior high students attending any OTHS athletic events must be accompanied by an adult.

Those students not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the gate.

🎒 UNPACK THE BACKPACK IS ALMOST HERE! 🎒
Mark your calendars! You have ONE WEEK LEFT to complete registration before school starts! We can’t wait to welcome our students back to kick off the new school year.

📅 When: Wednesday, August 19th
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

What’s happening at Unpack the Backpack:
• See your classroom & meet your teacher! 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫
• Drop off your school supplies early! ✏️📓

⚠️ IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION ⚠️
• Registered Students Only: This event is strictly for students who are fully registered. You will ONLY receive a teacher assignment if your registration is complete.
• Teacher Assignments & Bus Times: Will be posted in TeacherEase on Friday, August 14th after 4:00 PM for students with completed registration.
• Registration Deadline: Our front office will be CLOSED on Wednesday, August 19th. To attend Unpack the Backpack, all registration steps MUST be fully completed by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18th!

🦷FREE In-School Dental Services at Marseilles Elementary School!

We are excited to partner with OPDS Dental Services to offer free dental care right here at MES for any student who signs up!

This is a fast and convenient way to meet Illinois state school health requirements. State law mandates that all students entering Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 6th grade must have an official dental examination on file. Participating in this free clinic satisfies this state obligation without requiring a separate trip to the dentist or missed school time!

Cost: FREE for all students who register
