Mary Ward Parker and Grace Parker are making Mars Hill University Women’s Basketball history as the program’s first mother-daughter duo to wear the Lions uniform. Mary helped the 2002 team to an Elite Eight appearance, and now Grace begins her own journey in her first season at Mars Hill.

Support from the Lions Athletic Club helps create opportunities for stories like this to continue for generations of MHU student-athletes.

Braxton Robinson ‘25 came to Mars Hill as a student-athlete. He left with much more than memories from the soccer field.

For Braxton, the relationships he built with coaches, teammates, and alumni helped create opportunities to grow beyond the game and provided a foundation he carries with him into life after graduation.

That’s the impact of the student-athlete experience at Mars Hill. And it’s the kind of impact Lions Athletic Club members help make possible.

Join us on August 1 for our new signature event. Enjoy a meal from High Ridge Smokehouse, meet some of the 26-27 team, hear from Coach Barnette, and participate in the silent auction and raffles.

Mars Hill is a very special place and our student-athletes represent the university with pride. These students come to Mars Hill to earn an education, while also dedicating countless hours before and after class to train, compete, serve their communities, and support their teammates. For many student-athletes, scholarship support makes a Mars Hill education possible.

The Lions Athletic Club is the fundraising arm of the Mars Hill University Athletic Department. Through the generosity of alumni, parents, fans, businesses, and friends, the club provides vital financial support for more than 675 student-athletes while strengthening the overall athletics experience for our teams, students, and fans.
