🧊💙 WHAT A DAY, CHARGER NATION! Together, we raised an incredible $3,819.00 TODAY for ALS & Team Gleason! 💙🧊

And we’re not done yet! Mrs. DiMarco has extended our donation challenge through Tuesday! 🎉 While Mrs. Grace Siebert’s 5th grade class took the top spot today and earned a popsicle party, we’re keeping the running totals going through Tuesday, so there’s still plenty of time to donate to ALS and Team Gleason!

After Tuesday, we’ll recalculate the totals, and the new top class will receive pizza AND loaded teas for their teacher, generously donated by the Dantin Family! 🍕🥤💙

Today, Mrs. Donna Reyer, Mrs. Rawle, and Mrs. Christie Riggs proudly represented our Nursery & Pre-K1 staff as they took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! 💙🧊

This one was especially meaningful as Mrs. Christie shared about losing her mom to ALS and why this cause is so close to her heart.

And then came a moment that gave us chills for a completely different reason… 🦋 If you go back and watch the video closely, almost immediately after the ice buckets were dumped, a butterfly flew right above them as the three ladies held hands and lifted them into the air. Such a beautiful moment at exactly the right time! 💙🦋

$3,819 in just one day … way to show up, Charger Nation! 💙

A HUGE thank you to The Dantin Family, owners of Best Life Nutrition & WEGO Nutrition for joining ICS in our ALS Dress Down Fundraiser! 💙

They’ve made the friendly competition even sweeter! In addition to Mrs. DiMarco’s popsicle party for the class that raises the most money, the Dantins are donating a loaded tea to the teacher of the winning class AND pizza for the entire class! 🍕🎉🥤

We are so grateful for their generosity and support of our ICS family and this very special cause! 💙

Students may dress down with a minimum $2 donation, with all donations going to Team Gleason!

⛪️💙 Our First School Mass! 💙⛪️

Yesterday, our 1st–7th grade students came together to celebrate our first official school Mass of the year! There’s just something special about seeing our church completely filled with our students, faculty, and staff. 🙏

Yesterday’s Gospel reminded us that God’s invitation is open to everyone and that we are each called to say “yes” and live out our faith in the way we treat and welcome others.

During Mass, we also came together as a school family to consecrate ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, placing our school year, our students, our faculty and staff, and our families in His care. ❤️‍🔥🙏

And a special shoutout to our beautiful school choir for leading us in song! Hearing the entire church filled with our students’ voices as the whole school joined in made our first Mass of the year even more special! 💙 🎶

🧊🪣💙 ICS Takes on the Ice Bucket Challenge! 💙🧊🪣

Today, some of our Admin team took on the Ice Bucket Challenge in honor of Mrs. Penny Keller, mom of our Administrative Assistant, Bridget Bourgeois. Mrs. Penny was recently diagnosed with bulbar ALS, and we are proud to stand alongside her family to help raise awareness and support for those affected by ALS!

We’re keeping the challenge going by nominating Kirsch Williams, Principal of Holy Name of Jesus, and their leadership team, as well as our Charger Nursery & Prek-1 staff! 🧊
And Chargers, we want YOU to join us! Take the Ice Bucket Challenge at home, tag us in your post, and help spread awareness. 💙

This Friday will also be a Dress Down Day for a minimum of $2, with all donations benefiting Team Gleason! The class bringing in the most donations will earn a POPSICLE PARTY!

🪱 Fred needed saving one more time! 🛟

This time, Mrs. Romano’s 3rd graders were up for the challenge! They worked together, shared ideas, and had lots of laughs trying to get Fred safely into his life preserver.

Safe to say, our 3rd grade crew has teamwork down! 💙🙌

🪱 Saving Fred .. Round 2! 🛟

Mrs. Larkins’ 3rd graders got in on the Saving Fred fun, too! They put their heads together to rescue poor Fred, with plenty of laughs and teamwork along the way!

Nothing like a gummy worm emergency to get those teamwork skills going! 🪱😂💙
