NMU's SVA- Student Veterans Association

We are looking at going to Neguanee Rod and Gun Club on Saturday the 19th from 11 to 2 if you are interested. There is a small fee to use the range, I believe it's 5 dollars, the SVA "fund" has about $25 to cover a few people. College Republican members would like to participate as well. Good time to get that deer rifle set.

Welcome back to another school year. This year will be different but we are still going to attempt to plan some activities. If you have any suggestions of what activities you would like to do this year please let us know and we will work out the logistics. Have a good weekend and stay safe. Don't be the reason for a safety brief.

Don't forget, if you are in Marquette today, congressman (LTG USMC) Bergman will be speaking to NMU student veterans at 1:30 but all are welcome. In Peninsula Room 1 at the Northern Center.

Welcome back to another semester. We hope you all had a good break. We are currently working on getting a couple things scheduled for this winter like going to Marquette Mountain, bowling, and in the spring going to the Gun Range. If you have any other ideas of things that you would like to do with your fellow Veterans this semester please let us know.

The semester starts next week. We hope everyone had a good break. This winter there are a couple activities in the works for the SVA.

Our NMU Student Veteran of the year Cody Mayer with Brigadier General Schloegl and MVAA Director Zaneta Adams. Congratulations Cody. You have definitely earned this recognition with all that you do for our Veteran community here at NMU.

Veterans honored at NMU's 'Veterans Recognition Ceremony' NMU student and Michigan Army National Guard Sgt. Cody Mayer was presented with the NMU Student Veteran of the Year award at the ceremony.

Even though NMU closed, the ceremony is still happening. Drive safe.
