It's fire prevention month! This month 2nd and 3rd graders will participate in Marquette City Fire Department's fire prevention house and to kick things off, there is the fire truck display at Harlow Park today from 11:00-12:30! It's right in the neighborhood and always packed with SK kiddos! Hope to see you there! 🚒

Every Friday, we will be celebrating a Sandy Knoll Explorer of the week from each classroom. A Sandy Knoll Explorer is a student that is Responsible, Respectful, Safe, and Kind! We are very proud of this week’s SK Explorers. They were able to pick a book from our new Book Vending Machine!

🌱 First graders in Mrs. Maxon’s class had a very special visitor today! 🌱

Mrs. Maxon’s mom, Mrs. Kris Dalgleish, a retired MAPS first grade teacher, came back for her 4th annual plant lesson! 🪴

Each student learned about spider plants, how to plant and care for them, and got to plant one of their very own to take home! 💚

It’s such a fun tradition—and one that past students still talk about and share updates on how their plants are doing! 🌿✨

Students at SK were treated to a pep assembly from the pep band, cheerleaders, and football players from MSHS.
Good luck at your homecoming game, Sentinels!
