From a Reservation in Wisconsin to the Big Screen of Indigenous Consulting 🌌
Growing up on the Red Cliff reservation, surrounded by the Apostle Islands, Bazile Minogiizhigaabo Panek always knew he had a deep responsibility to his heritage. Today, the Northern Michigan University alumnus is turning that lifelong connection into a powerful vehicle for change.
Through his consulting business, Good Sky Guidance, named after his Ojibwe spirit name, meaning "standing in the good sky", Bazile is bridging a massive gap in modern industries. He found that while many federal agencies, corporations, and environmental groups sincerely wanted to work with tribal communities and honor traditional wisdom, they simply didn't know how to do it respectfully or effectively.
Instead of doing the work for them, Bazile guides his clients to build true, long-term partnerships. His incredible journey has already led to monumental impacts, including:
