We are a field based undergraduate program that boasts small class sizes for our teacher candidates allowing us to teach with them in local school settings. Student teachers in our program have the opportunity to student teach anywhere in the world while staying connected to our NMU faculty.

FREE teaching materials! Thanks to the generosity of a few retiring educators in our community, the School of Education has tons of materials to offer new and aspiring educators. Stop by our office to take as much as you like. We have hundreds of books plus bins, baskets, sharpie markers, construction paper, white boards, white board markers, white board erasers, daily schedulers, binder clips, clipboards, stickers, foam dice, and so much more.

NOTE: Our office is open from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday. We’re located in Whitman Hall (corner of Fair and Norway), Room 179. Everything is first come first serve.
