A team of support can make all the difference! 🤍

Health care in the United States is increasingly team-based, and doulas—who often provide emotional, physical, and educational support for patients during birth, the postpartum period, and beyond—are valuable members of many care teams.

ACOG’s new clinical guidance encourages ob-gyn collaboration with doulas and gives ob-gyns the tools they need to better understand a doula’s role. It also highlights the importance of stronger partnerships between clinicians and doulas, which can provide vital support across the lifespan—including during and after pregnancy—and can lead to better patient outcomes.

Here's a sneak peek of the beautiful speakers, workshops, and day that we have planned. We also have a few extra spots available if anyone would still like to join. A huge thank you to Michigan Public Health Institute for sponsoring this event! 💜

We loved being part of the Marquette County Community Baby Shower last Friday! It was wonderful connecting with so many families, seeing current clients, and joining alongside 25 other organizations that are passionate about supporting parents and growing families in our local community.

We enjoyed sharing more about how doulas can support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and helping spread the word that UPHP and Medicaid fully cover doula services. Access to support matters, and we’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to invest in the health and wellbeing of local families.
