Northern Michigan was represented at last weekend's NCAA Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis by Kate Langworthy (Cross Country/Track & Field) and Max Rebori (Men's Soccer).

The NCAA Career in Sports Forum brings together 200 student-athletes from across all NCAA divisions for professional development, networking, and leadership opportunities.

"Attending the NCAA Career in Sports Forum as one of 200 athletes from across all NCAA divisions was one of the most impactful experiences I've had as a student-athlete. One of my favorite parts of this forum was meeting so many people from around the world and hearing their stories, whether they were professionals or my peers. One of the best parts of the experience was being surrounded by so many driven, high-achieving student-athletes who are passionate about making an impact beyond their sport. One message from our speakers that really stuck with me was from Samantha Card, who said, “Sport was never the story, it was just the training ground." As a recent graduate, this resonated with me and reminded me that I am so much more than just an athlete, but athletics shaped me to be who I am today. Overall, I am so beyond thankful to the NCAA and Northern Michigan University for this incredible opportunity and experience that I will never forget. I left with lifelong friendships, new connections, and a lot of motivation for life after athletics!"
