The solar panels that went up on the NMU WellBeing Center this past month were installed by a company Ian Olmsted '19 BS founded here in Marquette.

Peninsula Solar finished the 81-kilowatt array the last week of July. 138 bifacial panels, expected to offset about 44 percent of the building's annual electricity and save roughly $11,700 a year in utility costs.

For the first time, the NMU Foundation closed a fiscal year with more than $10 million committed to opportunities like scholarships, academic programs, student support, faculty work, and campus projects.

This milestone came from alumni, donors, and corporate partners funding new pathways so future Wildcats can thrive. If you were one to give to Northern this year, you're in that number. Thank you.

Last week, our NMU Alumni Happy Hour in Big Bay was supposed to be an outdoor event. We made the decision to move it indoors because of poor air quality and Wildcats showed up anyway. The place was packed.

Bell's Brewery made sure pitchers were full and sent everyone home with a little something. A big thank you to Bell's and TV6 for making our summer series possible.
