Empowered Resilience Women's Self-Defense is Canceled for tomorrow (Sunday, March 15th).

Happy St. Patrick's Day (storm)! The weather reports vary, but it sounds like we are in for a major one, with at least two feet of snow over the next couple of days, maybe more. It will be in full force during our class time tomorrow, so we will play it safe and cancel ahead of time.

We can bump the missed day to April 5th if that works for most people, or possibly spread out the time and add it onto the other two days. If you have any preference about that, or any questions, please let me know via DM or email.

Empowered Resilience Women’s Self-Defense (March 2026) is now FULL. Thank you! This filled up quickly, and we’re grateful for the strong interest.

Empowered Resilience is back this March!

Join us for a new 4-week Women’s Self-Defense course focused on practical techniques and real-world awareness. This session is shorter and more focused than last year’s, with no fitness component—just the skills you need to feel more prepared and empowered.

Location: 1310 S. Front St., Studio A (South Entrance)
Dates: Sundays, March 8, 15, 22, 29
Time: 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Cost: Free, thanks to the Marquette Women’s Center

Northern Lights Martial Art Center would like to welcome Ninth House HEMA to our fellowship of traditional arts. Starting this Sunday, classes will be Sundays 6 PM to 9 PM.

Northern Lights Martial Arts Center is excited and honored to host this upcoming Meditate Marquette event!

Just a reminder that the NLMAC facility is reserved tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 24th) and Saturday, (Oct. 25th) for Cuong Nhu seminars with Master Jessica Ngo. Please make any arrangements necessary to notify instructors and cancel or reschedule classes.

Also, the TaeKwon-Do November reservation for a training with Master Osborn that I previously messaged about has been changed from Nov. 29th to Saturday, Nov. 8th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Empowered Resilience Update:

Thanks to everyone who joined us this spring! We’re pausing the class for now and planning to relaunch it this fall—likely in September—as a five-week course open to both new and returning participants. The new format will focus more directly on self-defense techniques.

We loved getting to know you and seeing your strength and confidence grow. Wishing you a wonderful summer—stay empowered, and we’ll see you soon!
