Three-Toed Box turtles love to soak in water. Did you know that they are semi aquatic and do enjoy a nice swim?

From Noon to 3:30 tomorrow, Carl will have his pottery wheel available and offer anyone the chance to give it a try. Carl is a great teacher. Pinch pots for our younger guests. Swing by tomorrow. Should be a beautiful day!

Don't miss Ed Baker talking all about lake Sturgeon now!
Don't miss the evening program, Lake Sturgeon of the Great Lakes on Tuesday, June 9th, in Peter White Public Library's Community room.
The Lake Sturgeon is the largest freshwater fish in North America! Their unique ecology, biology, history, and management of our fisheries will be discussed by Ed Baker.
Baker is the manager of the Fisheries Research Station for the Michigan DNR.
Join us for this very informative program. Please consider a donation of $10 to support the MooseWood Nature Center.
There is still space available for this Sunday's DIY Bee Watering Station craft at 2:pm. Please email [email protected] to reserve your materials.

The center will be closed from 12:00 to 2:30 today for a private birthday party. Please stop by then. Open till 4:00 pm.
Don't miss the Bee/Pollinators program at 10:00 today with a native plant sale from 11-1pm with part of the proceeds to benefit MooseWood Nature Center.
Please stop by and enjoy the beautiful sunshine!
Also, a pop-up house plant sale will be available at 11:00am for donations to benefit the nature center as well.

Next weekend is the Bee Positive With Native Plants: Creating Habitat For Native U.P. Bees presentation and native plant sale starting at 10:00am and sale from 11-1pm.
Michelle Wietek of Designs by Nature Upper Peninsula Native Plants gave an excellent presentation last year and we look forward to this one.
