In celebration of National Coming Out Day, we wanted to share a great resource for LGBTQ+ information!

LGBT Life contains full text for more than 120 of the most important and historically significant LGBT journals, magazines and regional newspapers, as well as more than 150 full-text monographs/books. The database also includes comprehensive indexing and abstract coverage as well as a specialized LGBT Thesaurus.

We're excited to share that our very own NMU Allies member Lucas Abromowitz was recently featured by Pride Source for his incredible work helping LGBTQ+ travelers discover safe, welcoming destinations - right here in the UP and beyond!

✈️ Lucas runs "UP and Out Travel" and is passionate about showing fellow q***r travelers that the Upper Peninsula offers amazing opportunities for solo adventures, from Marquette's youthful energy (thanks to NMU!) to hidden gems throughout Michigan.

The article, "Taking Flight On Your Own Terms: The Unexpected Rewards of Solo Travel," features Lucas alongside other LGBTQ+ travelers sharing safety tips, destination recommendations, and inspiring stories about finding unexpected pockets of acceptance and community.

Lucas reminds us: "You don't need a buddy, partner or group to explore Michigan and have fun. Day trips, overnighters and long vacations all bring something rewarding for a solo traveler."

💝 will be doing hair tinsel installation for $15! 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the individual receiving the donation for this event.💝
