Peak25 is co-hosted by Innovate Marquette SmartZone and SISU, the Innovation Institute at NMU. The conference is also conducted in partnership with the NMU College of Business, NMU College of Graduate Studies & Research, and the SHINE Institute.

Innovate Marquette SmartZone and SISU: The Innovation Institute at NMU are hosting the Peak25 Conference, a rebranded version of Innovation Week. It’s a two-day professional development conference aimed at providing networking and learning opportunities to business professionals in the U.P.

New this year is the Mini Pitch contest, where students submit a three-minute video explaining their idea for a product or business. Innovate Marquette says ideas will be judged on innovation and imagination rather than feasibility.

Announcing Peak25- a conference hosted this winter by Innovate Marquette and SISU: The Innovation Institute at NMU!

Peak25 provides a dynamic platform to celebrate research and scholarly activity, promote entrepreneurial ventures in outdoor innovation, creative technology, and sustainable solutions, as well as encourage collaboration.

Peak25 is free and open to the public. Save the date for February 20-21.

SISU is so glad to be representing Northern Michigan University and SISU: The Innovation Institute at NMU for another year as a collaborative partner of this amazing event! We are working on accessibility and mobility in the outdoor recreation space!

We are proud to welcome one of our Innovation Week 2024 Keynote Speakers, Scott Kuzdzal, Ph.D.

Scott Kuzdzal received a Ph.D. from the University of California at Riverside and served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he co-founded the Center for Biomarker Discovery and Translation. Dr. Kuzdzal also has a strong medicinal and clinical chemistry background, conducting research in biomarkers for pancreatic cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and ovarian cancer.

Dr. Kuzdzal currently serves as the Vice President of New Strategy and the Lab Director of the Amyloid MS Service Lab at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments.
