As an Adviser for MHS FBLA for the last fifteen years, it was sad that I was unable to attend the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA this year.

But…. what am I over the moon about??? These two graduated seniors from Marmaduke were in the TOP 16 in the NATION in SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIES!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 That is SO awesome! 🙌🏻 🙌🏻

Kimber & Lincoln, I’m so very proud of you both for this accomplishment! Very impressive! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Great things lie ahead for the two of you. I am looking forward to watching.

Thank you to my Superintendent and the Moms for chaperoning them in my absence. It helped knowing they were in great hands! 😊

State Leadership Conference 2025! Great group, a lot of fun and many memories made! Always proud of my kiddos. Here are some successes that were recognized at the State level. We ill be headed to the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California this summer!

District II Fall Conference is Wednesday, Oct 2, at ASU!

Dress code check in MHS Lobby from 7:30-7:45. Business casual for this one, but no jeans, no sneakers, no t-shirts. Skirts to the knee or you stay at school.

Remember lunch money. Buses will return to campus by 3 p.m.

Chapter Officers will be inducted! 😊

Friday, Dec. 15, will be the last day to order the "all-sports & clubs" t-shirts and hoodies!

There will be a table set up in the lobby Friday during Homecoming. Be sure to get your keepsake while you can. Would make great gifts!

What a great group of students to take to the FBLA 2023 State Leadership Conference in Little Rock! There was definitely some tough competition this year from around the state and we may not have had as many qualify for Nationals as we had hoped, but they gave it their best, several made it to the final round, and everyone represented Marmaduke very well! I’m proud of each and every one of you.

We do want to give a big shoutout and Congratulations to:

LANE PACE, who placed 3rd in Intro to Business Presentation in his freshman year!! Wow! Great work, Lane! Placing at State is your ticket to the 2023 NATIONAL Leadership Conference this summer!

Congratulations, Lane! You are headed to Atlanta for NLC 2023! So proud of you! 👏👏👏👏👏

Also, I want to Congratulate my son, Brooks Vangilder, for his final engagement as District II State Vice-President, which for those that don’t know, is the State Officer title for the person who is serving as the current District II President! I’m so proud of you, Brooks, and love watching how you handle yourself in front of 3000 people. You’re a natural, that’s for sure! You amaze me, every day. Very admirable.

Great job, Brooks! Great job, Lane! Great job to all of the MHS FBLA members!!! Let’s look forward to the next opportunity. It’s never too soon to prepare!
