🎓 Congratulations to the students of Van Zant, Marlton Elementary, and Rice Elementary on graduating from the L.E.A.D. program!

Over the past several weeks, students learned important lessons about making good decisions, resisting peer pressure, building confidence, and making safe, healthy choices.

A special thank you to Officer Bill Kinner and the Evesham Township Police (NJ) for their dedication to bringing this meaningful program into our schools — and, of course, for making the graduations memorable with Officer Kinner’s iconic cartwheels! 🤸‍♂️🚔

As Officer Kinner reminds students:

“The WORST drug is the FIRST drug!”

Congratulations to all of the graduates. Keep making positive choices and being leaders in your school and community! 👏🎓

🍎 Apple Around Evesham: America 250 Edition

Apple made his first history stop at the corner of E. Main Street and N. Maple Avenue — a spot many people know today as the 7-Eleven corner.

Before that, this was the site of the Bareford Hotel, built around 1850, and the earlier Rising Sun Tavern, where Samuel Swain served as tavernkeeper and postmaster.

As students work on their EEF America 250 Coloring Contest entries, Apple will be visiting local places that help tell the story of what was and what is in Evesham.

Heading to Marlton Day? Stop by the EEF table to learn more about the coloring contest!

🎨 Coloring Contest entries are due June 30.

🌟 Celebrating Hometown Heroes 🌟

Last Friday, Miss Funk from Marlton Elementary was recognized at the The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks - Marlton NJ Lodge #2514 Hometown Heroes Banquet for inspiring her third-grade class to give back.

Earlier this year, the Marlton Elks visited her classroom through the Karen Minutella Reading Initiative, sharing a love of reading and giving each student a book. The visit also gave students a meaningful look at the Elks’ commitment to literacy, service, veterans, and the broader community.

Inspired by that visit, Miss Funk’s class collected donations to support the Elks and their continued work. At the banquet, both the Marlton Elks and Evesham Township recognized Miss Funk for the kindness, generosity, and community spirit she helped foster in her classroom.

Congratulations, Miss Funk! We are proud to celebrate you, your students, the Marlton Elks, and the power of kindness and literacy coming together. 📚❤️
