Bray-Doyle Public Schools is accepting applications for a Groundskeeper/Athletics Facility Custodian.

Primary Responsibilities:
*Mowing, weed-eating, spraying weeds, and general upkeep of district grounds
*Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly appearance of all school grounds
*Pressure washing and exterior cleaning
*Painting
*Safely operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment
*Removing limbs, leaves, litter, and debris
*Restocking custodial and paper supplies districtwide
*Monitoring inventory and reporting when supplies need to be reordered
*Keeping dumpster and trash collection areas clean
*Custodial care of all athletic and activity facilities (ex: baseball, softball, football, and basketball)
*Clean the gymnasium, coaches offices, weight room, gym lobby, concession areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and multipurpose room
*Empty trash and clean assigned areas before and after activities and events
*Reporting maintenance and/or safety concerns
*Perform other groundskeeping/custodial and related duties as assigned

The Bray-Doyle High School sophomore class is selling birthday cups. Order forms were sent home with all elementary students. If you need an additional form, please email Mrs. Hampton at [email protected]

Due to the ongoing power outage, extreme heat, and fire conditions in our area, all after-school activities for today have been canceled. This includes JH/HS softball games against Thackerville and football practice.

The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our highest priority. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.

Many of you may have received alerts that the Town of Velma is currently being evacuated due to fire danger.

Our administration and Sheriff’s Deputy are actively monitoring the situation. At this time, Bray-Doyle is safe, and we are not evacuating. If the situation changes, we will immediately communicate with our families.

We are also experiencing brief, intermittent power outages. Please be patient if you call the school and are unable to get through.

As always, parents who would feel more comfortable picking up their student may do so. At this time, all students and staff are safe, and we will continue to closely monitor the situation

You may notice some new safety signage around campus.

The safety and security of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We are thankful for our partnership with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office and for Officer Medina, a Sheriff’s Deputy who serves full-time on our campus as our School Resource Officer, as well as our trained school personnel who work together to help keep Bray-Doyle safe.

We take the responsibility of protecting our students seriously.
