Homeschool Co-op Opportunity!

Great Explorers Co-op (GECO) is holding a Shadow Day for interested homeschoolers to observe our co-op.

GECO is a secular homeschool co-op that meets on Mondays from 9-12:30 in Marlborough, MA. We offer member run classes to students from ages 5 to 18.

Besides education, GECO also focuses on community. We have weekly park meet ups, as well as field trips, event fairs, dances, camping trips, and more.

We have space available for our 2025-26 year. Prospective members are welcome to join our shadow day and attend classes on March 24, 2025.

Every family must have at least one child who is old enough to qualify for public school, but younger siblings are always welcome.

A quick update of our 2024-2025 session. We have been busy with field day, classes, field trips and snow days. Lots of smiles all around!

You're in luck! We *are* a homeschooling co-op in Marlborough! And, we are hosting a Shadow Day on November 18, 2024 for interested families to see if GECO might be a good fit for them.

Great Explorers Co-op (GECO) is a secular co-op that meets at First Church in Marlborough on Mondays. We run for three 8-week sessions each year. The students can choose two classes to take each session. After morning classes, we continue to enjoy each other's company in the afternoon either at a local playground or by staying at the church (in the winter and inclement weather).

In addition to our Monday meetups, we also offer field trips and other social outings throughout the year.

GECO is not a drop-off co-op. Adults from each family stay for the duration of co-op and help to teach classes and fulfill the various administrative needs.

If you would be interested in coming for a Shadow Day, when you and your student(s) can come to co-op for the day and see if it's a good fit for you, please send GECO a message. We will work with you to find classes that your student would be interested in shadowing, and we'll go over any other questions you might have.

May was busy! CO-OP finished with our first graduate! MaggieRay is an original member and went along with all our plans so sweetly. Each age grouping was recognized and the older kids moved up to their new grouping in a ceremony. It was a big year of changes and learning and experiences. Thank you everyone who is a part of our group and those who help us out.

Another great day for the bigger GECOs. They were tasked with checking if there were stable areas on the moon for human colonization. Look out for those moonquakes! And they had a successful mission. Great job gang!
