As we wrapped up our totally awesome 90’s themed Teacher Appreciation Week, our hearts are so full of gratitude for the incredible educators who make our center such a special place every single day

To celebrate the last two days, our teachers enjoyed a sweet 90’s candy bar where they created their own treat bags, a fun 90’s curated playlist to vibe to, customized cooler bags, “Pretty Pretty Princess” trivia fun, and gift cards to end the week with a little extra appreciation!

The work they do inside the classroom often goes unseen, but the impact they make lasts forever. We are beyond thankful for the dedication, passion, and hard work our teachers pour into every moment with our children and families.

Thank you for all that you do, this week we celebrated you, but you deserve appreciation all year long!

Teacher Appreciation Week is one of our favorite times of the year because it gives us the opportunity to celebrate our incredible educators who make a difference in lives of all our children every single day.

Our teachers do so much more than teach; they nurture, encourage, comfort, inspire, and create meaningful experiences that help children grow and thrive. The love, patience, and dedication they bring into our classrooms deserves to be recognized and celebrated.

We kicked off the first half of our 90’s themed Teacher Appreciation Week with some fun and well-deserved treats including a relaxing staff paint night, a delicious staff breakfast and of course a nostalgic Dunkaroo surprise for our amazing team!

Thank you to our wonderful teachers for the countless ways you support our children, families, and school community. Your impact lasts far beyond the classroom, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you!

Thank you to all our families for helping us appreciate our teachers through donations, preparing food & gifts!

This perspective resonates deeply with our center’s philosophy.

We believe school readiness isn’t about accelerating childhood, it’s about honoring it. Young children learn best through play, exploration, curiosity, and meaningful relationships. When we prioritize play-based learning, we’re not “falling behind” we’re building the critical thinking, creativity, social-emotional skills, and confidence that children need not just for kindergarten, but for life.

Let’s shift the conversation. Instead of asking children to adapt to systems that aren’t designed for them, let’s advocate for systems that truly support how children grow and learn.

Today’s job fair was all about sparking interest and opening doors for the next generation of early childhood educators!

We are deeply committed to growing our workforce and welcoming passionate individuals into this meaningful field. Events like this are designed to entice new educators who may be exploring their path or looking for a career that truly makes a difference.

At Cottage Children’s Center, investing in new educators directly strengthens the quality of care and learning in our classrooms. When we support individuals in gaining hands-on experience while continuing their education, we’re building a team of skilled, dedicated professionals who create nurturing, engaging environments for children to thrive.

Strong educators are the heart of high-quality early childhood programs, and growing our workforce ensures that our children—and our center—continue to flourish.

We’re excited to connect with those ready to begin their journey and be part of something meaningful. Thank you Mass Hire for the opportunity!

Great advice!

Here’s a simple but powerful parenting tip from a former preschool teacher and current storyteller ✨

When helping your child with a task (like picking a book or cleaning up) try offering two choices. Instead of resistance, you create cooperation. Instead of feeling told, they feel empowered.

Choice builds confidence, independence, and those little “I did it!” moments we love to see 💛📚
