Our Director of Summer Programs Jim Castrataro and Science Teacher Anna Schonwald, as well as a current NEIA 8th grader and her father, spoke to Boston 25 News about NEIA NEXT summer program options that go beyond sports - from business and engineering, to design and AI.

Over the last two weeks, the Integrated Math 2 class have been creating their own rollercoasters. First, using the Desmos platform, students wrote a height and base function to create a model. They later moved into The Hive to create their physical rollercoaster models by translating their calculations into dowel lengths to build upon their set base design!

NEIA got into the spirit today with a PIN talk from our Math Department Chair Jen Dalton, who shared her personal interest and knowledge of . Jen shared the rules of the game, demonstrated the equipment used to play, and whether an expertise in math and physics is relevant!

Last night, 150 members of the NEIA community gathered on-campus to celebrate the first day of the Lunar New Year. Current Mandarin students of every level were represented in the dragon dance team that kicked off the festivities, the dramatic and musical performances, and the martial arts demonstrations. Activities that followed were make-your-own dumpling sessions, calligraphy writing and other traditional activities, followed by a family-style dinner. Happy

Congratulations to New England Innovation Academy students James Costigan ‘28 and Ellis Lennon ‘26, who were respectively honored at the 2025-26 School Year Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of Massachusetts. James’ scratchboard drawing “Skeleton” won Gold Key recognition, while Ellis’ short film “Fractured Grace” earned a Silver Key in the Film & Animation category.
