Summer Engineering Camp at AMSA!

This summer, nearly 50 middle and high school students spent time at AMSA putting the engineering design process into action and having plenty of fun along the way!

Made possible through support from the Cummings Foundation, the camps gave students hands-on opportunities to design, build, test, and create. From exploring the engineering design process to imagining and creating the next KiwiCo box, students tackled challenges with creativity and curiosity.

We loved teaching and exploring with these young engineers this summer!

What a day! Our 7th Annual AMSA Golf Tournament on August 11 at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club was incredible.

Together, our two golf tournaments, the Tee Up for Girls in STEM women’s event in May and our August tournament, play an important role in fundraising for AMSA students and the opportunities that make their experience so special.

We're incredibly grateful to the Moderna Foundation for an $8,500 grant supporting the AMSA Student Access & Opportunity Fund!

At AMSA, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to fully participate in school, regardless of financial circumstances. Thanks to this grant, students with demonstrated financial need will receive support for transportation, meals, uniforms, athletic and club fees, field trips, and essential academic materials.

For the 2026–2027 school year, AMSA has committed approximately $80,000 to the Student Access & Opportunity Fund. We're grateful to Moderna for investing in our students and helping remove barriers so every learner can thrive. 💙🦅

Governor Maura Healey has signed the FY2027 state budget, which includes an additional $100 per student in facilities funding for Massachusetts charter public schools.

For AMSA, this is welcome progress toward addressing the long-standing facilities funding gap. Every additional dollar helps support the spaces where our students learn, collaborate, and thrive.

We're grateful to Governor Healey, the Legislature, and the many families, educators, and advocates who continue to champion equitable funding for all public school students. While there is still work to be done, this investment is a meaningful step forward.
