Today is Our Lady of Mercy-was created to rescue Christian captives from imprisonment in Spain in 1218 by St. Peter Nolasco.

Our Lady of Mercy,
Mother of compassion and hope,
we entrust to you all those who feel captive in the darkness of mental and emotional suffering.

Wrap them in your loving mantle.
Bring them peace where there is anxiety,
hope where there is despair,
and light where there is darkness. Amen
