Exciting opportunities are taking shape for our QCCTC students!

We were pleased to welcome Mrs. Katrina Jordan, Student Navigator for Career & Technical Education at Coahoma Community College, as she worked with our students during their Smart Start Dual Enrollment session.

Through this partnership, students are gaining valuable college-readiness support, learning more about dual enrollment opportunities, and taking important steps toward connecting their CTE experience with future college and career pathways.

We appreciate Coahoma Community College and Mrs. Jordan for investing in our students and helping expand opportunities that prepare them for success beyond high school.

We are proud to share another milestone for Quitman County Career & Technical Center!

Over the past four years, our CTE Industry Certification Grant has grown from $0 to $13,875, reflecting the incredible progress our students and teachers have made in earning valuable industry certifications.

Our Growth Story:
🔹 FY23: $0 | 0 Certified Students
🔹 FY24: $2,400 | 4 Certified Students
🔹 FY25: $8,000 | 13 Certified Students
🔹 FY26: $13,875 | 37 Certified Students

This growth represents more than funding, it represents student achievement, workforce readiness, and expanded opportunities for our community.

The Industry Certification Grant provides resources that strengthen Career and Technical Education by supporting:
✔️ Industry certification testing
✔️ Student instructional resources
✔️ Equipment and technology
✔️ Professional development for teachers
✔️ Increased access to industry-recognized credentials
