We are seeking qualified candidates to apply for a full-time position in our business department. The chosen candidate will participate in a comprehensive training program alongside the outgoing employee and receive additional training through state agencies and software.

The starting salary ranges from $31.60 to $38.40 per hour, based on experience. The employer provides an annual contribution of $13,000 towards medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Additional benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, as well as CalPERS retirement.

Required qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, an AA degree in accounting, business, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years of accounting or clerical experience. Alternatively, any combination of training, education, and/or experience that provides the desired knowledge is acceptable.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and knowledge of school business/finance/payroll.

Under direction of the supervisor, performs a variety of duties involved in the operation of the business services of the district; performs difficult fiscal accounting work in preparing, reviewing and maintaining financial and statistical records and reports; and does other work as required. Notification of Board Appointment: On September 14, 2023, the Alpine County USD / COE board(s) appointed Jeanne Mortimer to the seat vacated by Amber Bill representing school board trustee area B.
