What a night! 🎉 The Fueling the Future Gala brought our whole community together for our young people and the futures they are building for the community.

Thank you to everyone who filled Chicago Gaelic Park with your support and love. We are beyond grateful. Congratulations to our incredible honorees, Yohan Fernando, Toni Preckwinkle, Bonita Estelle, and Kristina Gray. And a huge thank you to our keynote speaker, Jeffery Beckham Jr., for words that lit a fire in the entire room. 🙌

To Bright Star Community Outreach, ComEd, Clayco, and every guest who showed up for our students, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ✨ You are the reason the next generation of builders, coders, and leaders keeps dreaming bigger. 🚀

And the truth is, nights like this change lives. The celebration, the purpose, and the amazing people are all in one room, believing in our kids. Even better, we still have opportunities to help fuel the future and be in the building by this time next year.

This summer, see exactly what real STEM looks like.

At MYTT, students will not just learn about STEM. They will build it, code it, test it, and bring it to life. MYTT offers hands-on robotics programs for every age group, including Bot Builders for ages 6–8, Junior Engineers for ages 9–12, and Titan Engineers for ages 13–18. Each program gives students the chance to explore robotics, coding, engineering design, teamwork, problem-solving, and real-world technology skills in a fun, supportive STEM lab environment. Registration closes June 12. Sessions begin June 13.

For years, MYTT has been quietly doing the work. Putting technology in the hands of young people who did not always have access to it. Building programs that show kids ages 6 to 18 that STEM is not just a subject; it is a future.

Creating spaces where the next generation of engineers, developers, and innovators can see themselves clearly for the first time. 💡🔬

None of that happens without people. The mentors who gave their time and knowledge. The partners who believed in the mission before it had momentum. The sponsors who showed up. We are so excited to honor Kristina Gray with the Partner in Action Award at the Fueling the Future Gala!
Kristina Gray is the person who sees a student’s potential and then actually does something about it.
As an Employer Relations and Internship Specialist at Governors State University, Kristina has spent nearly a decade making sure students do not just graduate with a degree but step into careers with real experience behind them. She runs the university’s career fair, oversees the Illinois Cooperative Work Study Grant, and has made it her personal mission to connect young people to opportunities that change the trajectory of their lives.
Her partnership with MYTT has been exactly that. A real partnership. Through her work, Governors State University students have been placed in meaningful internships that bring STEM education directly to underserved youth in our community. She believes the right opportunity at the right moment can change everything. We believe that too.
We are proud to present her with the Partner in Action Award and even prouder to call her a partner in this work.
