First grade is off to a great start at MES. ❤️🐻
Our Bears are getting settled in, learning their routines, and jumping right into the school year. We love seeing those busy little tables and happy faces back in the classroom.

Having an older buddy at school can make a big difference for younger students. It gives them someone to look up to, helps build confidence, and creates another familiar, friendly face on campus.

At MES, our students are building those connections across grade levels. Along the way, our older Bears get the chance to practice leadership, patience, and responsibility while our younger Bears gain encouragement and a stronger sense of belonging.

A little Frida Kahlo inspiration with a 5th-grade twist. 🎨

Mr. Toumanian’s 5th-grade students created self-portraits inspired by Frida Kahlo, then personalized them by adding a variety of hats and plenty of personality.

Physical education is about so much more than staying active. At MES, PE is an important part of helping our Bears grow both inside and outside the classroom. Every game, drill, and activity is another opportunity to build confidence, encourage movement, and have a little fun along the way.
